Help Us Build a home for the Orphan Children in Kampala

CONSTRUCTION OF OUR CIDA UGANDA ORPHAN CENTER

We intend and propose to construct our Orphan Center and home, where we shall care for orphans from other marginalized communities. Child safeguarding and protection shall be of paramount importance, and we strive to ensure all staff shall be thoroughly trained and equipped to handle our children like treasures. We are comforted by the reduction in risk by establishment of children family units throughout the center. Children shall have a guardian, as well as members of staff they shall reach out for support. 

Our programmes are dedicated to helping them build a safer, happier life, and so we create safe spaces and work with professionals to provide excellent psycho-social support. We also provide home-cooked meals to all children and mothers, and food nutrition is based on the guidance from professionals, which details the number of kilocalories and nutritional requirements. The Orphan Centers have excellent facilities including large, fully furnished rooms, play areas, study rooms, a canteen and eating hall. We also have an on-site pharmacist for healthcare, and the children attend the best schools

PROJECT EVALUATION;

There will be:

• Internal evaluation which shall be on daily basis.
• External evaluation shall be conducted by donor if deemed necessary.
•  The data collected shall be;:

1. Number of buildings built/types of facilities to be built.
2. Number of beneficiaries of the community center and orphanage.

PROJECT GOAL/OBJECTIVES

The Goal

To offer quality living standards and basic education to the orphans/vulnerable    children and equip the community with the skills and knowledge to overcome poverty

1. Objectives
   1. To build a new facility to accommodate many more deserving children.
   2. To construct dormitories for both orphan boys and girls
   3. To provide quality basic education
   4. To empower children with reading resources.
   5. To teach life skills to children and youth at risk
   6. To uplift the abilities of poor orphans and vulnerable children and youth whose talents and abilities are being neglected
